100 GENE

In der Arbeit 100 mal geben und nehmen (100 GENE) habe ich einen Dialog zwischen Drucker und Scanner initiiert und beobachtet. Normalerweise benutzen wir die beiden Geräte zur Kommunikation, in dieser Arbeit hingegen bin ich zum Kommunikationsmittel geworden. Ich habe die Scannerplatte gescannt, diesen Scan auf DIN A4 Kopierpapier ausgedruckt, den Druck vom Scan der Scannerplatte wiederum gescannt und erneut gedruckt. Diesen Prozess habe ich 100 mal wiederholt. In den 100 Prozessoriginalen (jeweils DIN A4) sieht man die Veränderungen bedingt durch den Dialog zwischen Sender und Empfänger, Drucker und Scanner. Muster, Farben und Strukturen haben sich alleine durch die 100 Wiederholungen innerhalb des Prozesses gebildet und sind somit Interpretationen der beiden Geräte bezogen auf ihr „Gespräch“. Wichtig ist, dass es gemäß der Kommunikation 100 digitale und 100 gedruckte „Originale“ gibt.

In the work 100 times give and take (100 GENE), I initiated and observed a dialog between printer and scanner.
